A short documentary film showcasing the work of restorers and architects as they breathe new life into a historic architectural gem in Lviv, Ukraine.
The film reveals the approach to the architectural project from two sides: one from the restorers from Karp restorer, who are discovering the various historical layers of the building step by step, and the side of the architects from Drozdov&Partners, as they are carefully adapting the building to modern requirements.
What historical relics lie hidden within the different floors of the building? What are the challenges of working with architectural heritage? How to preserve the layers of time of a 15th-century stone house while adding new functions to it? In the film, we find the answers to these questions among the team working on the project, and imagine how the building will serve users in the future.
