In 1550, in Valladolid, Fray Bartolomé de las Casas and Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda, advisor to Charles V, debate before a theological-legal court about where the rights of the Spanish colonizers end, and where those of the colonized, the Native Americans, begin. . Almost half a century later, a group of experts analyzes what is considered the first debate on human rights in history.
