Werner “Dorny” Dornfield’s adventures as a solidier-actor at the tail end of WWI and during the immediate post-war period. Based on research at the American Museum of Magic, and brought together with archival images, animated re-enactments, narration, music, and interviews. One of several vignettes about Dorny’s life and times, this short documentary shares stories from Dorny’s time “over there,” and then his return to the States, where he joins up with the “Sweetheart of the A.E.F.,” Elsie Janis!
