In August 1920 the Polish – Bolshevik war came to a crucial moment: in the area of Warsaw a decisive battle was about to take place.
Worker’s movements throughout Europe had successfully blocked the transportation of military equipment to Poland.
Under the provisions of the Treaty of Trianon, Hungary was not allowed to produce or transport military equipment.
Despite the ban, Hungary decided to support Poland in her war against Communism.

KORNÉL KUSSINSZKY AND SÁNDOR KISS
Kornél Kussinszky
A fan of history, mostly interested in East-Central European topics. He assisted in the production of historical documentaries in 2005 and 2010. In 2015 he was the reporter, co-scriptwriter and co-director of the documentary „Hungarian Corridor – Warsaw 1944”. As a director, „Operation Polonia 1920” is his debut documentary. Speaks Hungarian, Polish and English fluently.

I have been working in television since 1994. Since then, I have worked as a photographer, editor and director on numerous documentaries, educational, commercial, experimental and feature films.
My works have been shown on numerous television programmes and at prestigious festivals in Hungary and abroad.
